Short Interactive Course on ‘Hydrodynamics in Ship Design’

3-day training program, Shanghai, 29-31 March 2017

This course is intended for both existing professional staff and for newcomers in the maritime industry. Participants should have a Masters degree (MSc.) in naval architecture, ocean engineering, equivalent education or experience. The course gives an overview of the latest experiences in a broad range of important fields, such as

·     Still water ship hydrodynamics

·     Hull form design

·     Introduction in propulsors

·     Propulsor ship interaction

·     Cavitation, vibrations and noise

·     Viscous flow calculations in ship design

·     Seakeeping hydrodynamics and tools

·     Hull forms and manoeuvrability

·     Full scale trials & EEDI requirements

The course is given by a team of experts from the MARIN Wageningen office in English. During the course there will be a lot of time to interact with the MARIN team. The course notes contain the full set of information as presented during the course and  will be made available on paper.
